Job Summary

Prabha Continuous Utility Service is looking for an experienced Planning Manager – Coal Handling Plant (CHP) to lead overall planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for CHP operations, maintenance, shutdowns, and project execution.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive maintenance and execution plans, managing resources, monitoring progress, coordinating with multiple departments and clients, and ensuring timely completion of planned activities while maintaining plant availability, productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the overall planning and scheduling function for Coal Handling Plant (CHP) operations and maintenance.
- Prepare and monitor annual, monthly, weekly, and daily maintenance plans.
- Develop detailed preventive, predictive, breakdown, shutdown, overhaul, and project schedules.
- Prepare manpower, equipment, material, spare, tools, and resource deployment plans.
- Monitor planned vs. actual progress and ensure timely corrective actions for delays.
- Lead planning for major CHP shutdowns, annual maintenance, overhauling, and turnaround activities.
- Coordinate with Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, C&I;, Stores, Purchase, Safety, and Project teams.
- Monitor overall plant availability, equipment reliability, downtime, productivity, and maintenance KPIs.
- Prepare and review DPR, WPR, MPR, MIS, progress reports, dashboards, and management reports.
- Track critical activities and ensure execution as per approved schedules and project milestones.




- Coordinate with client representatives for planning, progress review, shutdown schedules, work priorities, and deliverables.
- Monitor resource utilization and manpower productivity across CHP activities.
- Identify planning risks, schedule deviations, bottlenecks, and critical activities and implement recovery plans.
- Coordinate with Stores and Purchase teams for timely availability of critical spares, materials, tools, and consumables.
- Analyze equipment downtime and maintenance trends and support RCA and corrective action planning.
- Maintain detailed planning documentation, schedules, progress records, and historical maintenance data.
- Support cost control and optimization of manpower, materials, equipment, and maintenance resources.
- Ensure planning and execution activities comply with safety, quality, statutory, and client requirements.
- Guide and monitor Planning Engineers, Coordinators, and other planning team members.
- Provide regular planning and performance updates to senior management.

Candidate Profile

- 10–15 years of relevant experience in CHP / Thermal Power Plant / Industrial O&M; / Material Handling.
- Mechanical Engineering qualification preferred.
- Solid experience in CHP planning, maintenance scheduling, shutdown planning, and resource management.
- Proven ability to manage planning activities independently at a large-scale site.
- Strong leadership, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and client coordination abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- Willingness to work at a site-based location in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Pay: ₹490,000.00 - ₹1,850,000.00 per year
