Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Welding Engineer to manage and improve welding processes in our sheet metal manufacturing operations. The candidate should have hands-on experience in welding processes, quality control, production support, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and improve welding processes for sheet metal components.
- Handle welding process planning, parameters, fixtures, and work instructions.
- Ensure proper welding quality as per customer and internal quality requirements.
- Identify and resolve welding defects such as porosity, undercut, cracks, distortion, and improper penetration.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and NPD teams for smooth production.
- Monitor welding productivity, rejection, rework, and process efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support new product development and process trials.
- Ensure proper selection and usage of welding consumables.




- Train and guide welders/operators on proper welding practices and parameters.
- Maintain welding-related process documentation, SOPs, and inspection standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in the welding area.

Required Skills

- Positive knowledge of MIG/MAG welding and welding processes.
- WPS, WPQR, WQT, Weld Process & Sheet Knowledge
- Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and welding defects.
- Knowledge of welding parameters, fixtures, jigs, and process control.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of welding quality inspection and troubleshooting.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic documentation.

Qualification

Diploma / B.Tech in Welding, Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Experience

Candidates with 3–7 years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing, fabrication, automotive, agricultural equipment, or similar industries will be preferred.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
