Job Summary : Technical Operations Factory Retrieval Systems (Rabus) Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities : Project & Rollout Leadership Lead rollouts affecting retrieval-system endpoints (e.g., a new OS or platform version) and business-driven changes (e.g., a new assembly line) for factory solutions and production-critical retrieval devices. Own coordination with the proprietary Rabus platform vendor on OS-level issues and upgrade planning. Local Adaptation Governance Own governance of local-adaptation bundles (base retrieval-system software plus local/factory-specific applications), including approval of testing and distribution scope in coordination with local IT-responsible/Adaption Owner stakeholders. Approve individual local solutions developed within the retrieval-system setting jointly with ITx and business partners. Escalation & Risk Management Act as senior escalation point for retrieval-system incidents tied to production risk, driving rapid resolution to minimize line-down exposure. Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring or high-impact retrieval-system incidents and drive permanent fixes. SLA & Continuous Improvement Own SLA performance for the retrieval-systems endpoint base, contributing to the wider Technical Operations Factory SLA framework (Betriebszeit, Servicezeit tiers).
Identify and drive standardization opportunities across the retrieval-system fleet. Mentoring Mentor L2 Retrieval Systems Engineers on patch/driver/firmware distribution, local-adaptation practices, and incident handling.
