Peevees Public School, Nilambur, Kerala is looking for a qualified and experienced Staff Nurse to join our residential school campus. The candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day medical care and health support to students and staff, ensuring their safety and well-being within the campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance to students and staff.
- Administer daily/regular medications as prescribed by doctors/parents and maintain proper medication records.
- Monitor students who are unwell and provide appropriate nursing care.
- Handle emergency medical situations and coordinate with hospitals/doctors when required.
- Attend to minor injuries, fever, headaches, allergies, stomach ailments, etc.
- Maintain and update student medical records, medicine registers and treatment records.
- Monitor students with ongoing medication or special health requirements.
- Accompany students to hospitals/clinics during emergencies when required.
- Coordinate with parents, school management and medical professionals regarding student health concerns.
- Conduct regular checks of the school infirmary and ensure adequate availability of essential medical supplies.
- Maintain proper hygiene, safety and cleanliness of the infirmary.
- Support the school in implementing health and wellness programmes.
- Be available for medical assistance during school activities, sports, trips and other programmes.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding students' medical information.
Qualifications
- ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) or GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) qualification.
- Valid nursing registration with the relevant nursing council.
- Prior experience as a Staff Nurse is required.
- Experience in a school, residential school, hostel, hospital or similar setting will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience handling children/adolescents and emergency situations will be given preference.

- Willingness to work in a residential school environment and follow the school's duty schedule.
- Ability to maintain accurate medical and medication records.

Free accommodation and food will be provided by the school.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
