Offshore QA Architect (Functional & Automation) Location: Offshore (India) Experience: 12+ Years Role Summary We are seeking a highly experienced QA Architect (Functional & Automation) to lead quality engineering for large-scale Azure-native digital transformation programs. The individual will define the end-to-end quality strategy across web applications, APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, and data-intensive healthcare solutions. A key expectation of this role is the ability to leverage Claude Code and AI-powered Quality Engineering accelerators to transform traditional QA into an AI-assisted, automation-first delivery model. The QA Architect will drive automation strategy, establish quality guardrails, mentor QA teams, and ensure quality is embedded across the SDLC. The ideal candidate combines strong functional testing expertise, modern automation frameworks, API testing, test architecture, and AI-enabled quality engineering practices. Key Responsibilities Quality Strategy & Architecture Define and own the enterprise QA strategy across functional, automation, API, integration, data, and regression testing. Establish test architecture, automation frameworks, quality gates, and release readiness criteria. Design shift-left and continuous testing approaches aligned to Agile and DevOps delivery models. Build quality governance processes, metrics, dashboards, and defect prevention mechanisms. Functional Testing Leadership Lead requirements analysis and testability assessments. Define test scenarios covering positive, negative, boundary, workflow, and exception conditions. Ensure comprehensive business process validation across portals, APIs, microservices, and backend systems. Drive traceability from requirements through test execution and production validation. Automation Leadership Architect scalable automation frameworks using: Playwright Selenium REST Assured Postman Python / Java BDD frameworks (Cucumber)



Define automation standards, reusable libraries, and CI/CD integration. Drive automation coverage targets of 80%+ for regression and critical business workflows. Implement automated smoke, regression, API, and end-to-end test suites. AI-Powered Quality Engineering (Mandatory) Utilize Claude Code as a core quality engineering accelerator for: Test case generation Automation script generation Requirement analysis Test data creation Defect analysis Regression impact assessment Quality documentation Partner with engineering teams to establish AI-assisted QA workflows. Leverage AI-driven accelerators such as Synthetic Quality Engineer (SQE) for test design and automation generation. Define governance controls for AI-generated artifacts, including review, traceability, auditability, and compliance. Train QA teams on prompt engineering and effective use of Claude for quality engineering activities. API & Microservices Testing Define testing approaches for REST APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices. Lead API automation strategy and service virtualization initiatives. Validate integration flows and end-to-end business transactions. Data Quality Testing Define source-to-target validation approaches. Lead data reconciliation, transformation validation, and data integrity testing. Support large-scale data migration and modernization initiatives. Establish automated validation frameworks for data quality assurance. DevOps & Continuous Testing Integrate automation into Azure DevOps pipelines. Define quality gates for build, deployment, and release processes.



Establish automated reporting and release health metrics. Leadership & Mentoring Lead QA Leads and QA Engineers across multiple pods. Conduct architecture reviews and automation assessments. Mentor teams on modern QA practices and AI-assisted testing. Drive continuous improvement and innovation initiatives.
