A CNC Wire Cut Operator operates CNC Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) machines to accurately cut complex shapes and profiles in electrically conductive materials.

Wire Cut Operator – Job Responsibilities:

- Operate CNC Wire Cut EDM machines such as Mitsubishi, Sodick, Fanuc, Makino, or AgieCharmilles.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and dimensions.
- Load, align, and clamp workpieces correctly.
- Set work coordinates, wire diameter, offsets, and machining parameters.
- Load and verify CNC programs.
- Set wire tension, flushing pressure, cutting speed, and other parameters.
- Monitor machining operations and prevent wire breakage.
- Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
- Make necessary offset/program corrections.
- Perform basic machine cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
