URGENT HIRING || PRODUCTION MANAGER || CHIKKABALLAPUR

Profile:- Production Manager – Extrusion Tools, Tool Room & Tungsten
Experience: 5 to 10 yrs
Ctc: upto 8lpa – 12lpa ,(Depend on the interview)
Location:- Chikkaballapur, Bangalore
Working Days:- 6 Days

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control

- Plan and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production activities.
- Prepare production schedules based on customer requirements and delivery commitments.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, tools and raw materials.
- Monitor production targets, output and productivity.

2. Extrusion Tool Production

- Manage complete production activities related to extrusion tools, dies and associated components.
- Ensure tools are manufactured according to approved drawings, specifications and tolerances.
- Coordinate with Design/Engineering and Quality departments for drawing and specification clarification.
- Monitor critical dimensions and ensure first-time-right production.

3. Tool Room Management

- Manage day-to-day activities of the Tool Room, including machining, grinding, EDM/wire EDM, drilling, polishing and finishing operations.
- Allocate jobs to operators/machinists based on skill and machine availability.
- Monitor machine loading and minimize machine idle time.
- Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of tool-room machines.

4. Tungsten / Tungsten Carbide Operations

- Manage production processes involving tungsten/tungsten carbide materials and components.
- Monitor machining, grinding, sizing, finishing and inspection processes.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of tungsten materials and finished components.




- Control material wastage and improve material recovery wherever possible.

5. Quality Control

- Ensure products are manufactured within specified dimensional and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Quality/Inspection teams for in-process and final inspection.
- Analyze rejection, rework and customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain process consistency and reduce rejection rates.

6. Manpower Management

- Lead and supervise Tool Room operators, technicians, setters and other production personnel.
- Prepare manpower allocation and shift plans.
- Identify skill gaps and arrange on-the-job training.
- Monitor discipline, attendance, productivity and performance of team members.

7. Productivity & Cost Control

- Improve production efficiency and reduce cycle time.
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Control tool, material and consumable usage.
- Reduce scrap, rejection, rework and unnecessary machine downtime.

8. Machine & Process Coordination

- Coordinate with Maintenance for machine breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure machines are available as per production requirements.
- Monitor tooling, fixtures, gauges and other production equipment.
- Suggest recent machines, technology or process improvements where required.

9. Production Documentation

- Maintain production reports, job cards,



rejection/rework records and productivity reports.
- Track production against planned quantities.
- Ensure proper traceability of jobs and materials.
- Submit daily/weekly/monthly production reports to management.

10. Safety & 5S

- Ensure compliance with factory safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain proper 5S and housekeeping in the Tool Room and production areas.
- Ensure safe handling of tungsten, carbide materials, grinding equipment and machinery.
- Conduct regular safety and housekeeping inspections.

11. Coordination with Other Departments

- Coordinate with Planning, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance, Design/Engineering and HR.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and production drawings.
- Coordinate urgent and priority jobs to meet customer delivery

Preferred Qualification & Experience

Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Tool & Die Making

8–15 years of relevant experience, preferably in tool room, extrusion dies, tungsten carbide, precision machining or diamond-tool manufacturing.
