About the Role

TechAid Consultants is looking for a hands-on Cable Laying / Cabling Technician for our CCTV, Wi-Fi, Networking, IPBX/EPABX and other low-voltage technology projects.

This is a field-based technical job. We are looking for candidates who are good at cable laying, conduit installation, cable routing and professional finishing.

High educational qualification is not required. Practical skills, discipline, hard work and willingness to work at project sites are more important.

Key Responsibilities

- Lay and route cables for CCTV systems
- Lay and route cables for Wi-Fi / Access Points
- Lay and route cables for LAN / Networking
- Lay and route cables for IPBX / EPABX / Intercom
- Lay and route cables for Access Control
- Lay and route cables for PA / Public Address systems
- Install cables through PVC conduit, flexible conduit, casing-capping, cable trays and other suitable pathways.
- Install conduit pipes professionally with proper alignment, bends, clamps and supports.
- Route cables neatly above false ceilings, through shafts, walls, ceilings and designated cable pathways.
- Pull CAT6/CAT6A, telephone, coaxial, speaker and other low-voltage cables.
- Maintain proper cable routes and avoid unnecessary bends, damage or loose hanging cables.
- Maintain appropriate separation between data/communication cables and electrical power cables wherever required.
- Drill walls/ceilings and install suitable clamps, saddles, anchors and supports.
- Make proper cable entry/exit points and maintain a clean professional finish.
- Identify, tag and label cables at both ends.
- Maintain sufficient cable length/service loop at equipment and termination points.
- Assist senior technicians in rack installation, patch panel installation and equipment installation when required.
- Perform basic cable testing using cable testers.
- Troubleshoot basic cable continuity and termination issues.
- Follow project drawings, cable routes and instructions provided by the site engineer/supervisor.
- Maintain tools,



ladders and installation equipment properly.
- Keep the work area clean after installation.
- Follow safety procedures while working at height, on ladders, ceilings and construction sites.
- Travel to customer/project sites as required.

Skills Required Essential Practical Skills

The candidate should be able to:

- Professionally install PVC conduit pipe.
- Measure, cut and install conduit accurately.
- Make clean conduit bends and proper joints.
- Fix conduit using proper clamps/saddles.
- Pull cables through conduit without damaging them.
- Route cables neatly through ceilings and cable trays.
- Understand basic CAT6/LAN cable routing.
- Identify different types of cables.
- Use basic hand tools such as:
- Drill machine
- Hammer
- Screwdriver
- Cutter
- Pliers
- Measuring tape
- Fish tape / cable pulling tools
- Crimping tools
- Use a basic LAN cable tester.
- Understand basic cable numbering and labeling.
- Work safely on ladders and at height.
- Follow instructions from the site engineer and complete assigned work properly.

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following will be preferred:

- CCTV cabling
- CAT6/LAN cabling
- Wi-Fi Access Point cabling
- EPABX/IPBX cabling
- Intercom cabling
- Telephone cabling
- Access Control cabling
- PA system cabling
- ELV/low-voltage cabling
- Structured cabling
- Cable tray installation
- PVC conduit installation

Candidates with experience in electrical wiring, telecom cabling or networking cable installation may also apply.

Education

Minimum: 10th Pass

12th / ITI / Technical qualification: Preferred but not mandatory.

We are not primarily looking for a highly educated office/desk-based candidate.

We need a person who can actually do the installation work on site.

A candidate who has good practical experience in cable laying, conduit work and ELV installation but has limited formal education can be an excellent fit for this position.

Selection Process

Candidates may be asked to perform a practical skill test, such as:

- Install a short section of PVC conduit.
- Make a proper 90° bend.
- Pull CAT6 cable through conduit.
- Fix and route cable professionally.
- Label both ends of the cable.
- Demonstrate basic cable testing.
- Identify common cabling tools and materials.

Practical ability will be given more importance than academic qualification.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
