Specialist Assistant Manager – Business Operations, Reporting & Analytics
Role Summary
The Business Operations, Reporting & Analytics Assistant Manager turns complex business data and operational needs into clear insights, scalable reporting, and measurable process improvements. This role partners with business and functional leaders to deliver dashboards, KPIs, executive reporting, and operational solutions that improve transparency, decision-making, and execution.
The successful candidate will combine strong analytical, visualization and storytelling skills with the ability to independently lead workstreams, manage competing priorities, influence stakeholders, and identify opportunities to standardize or automate data and insights. This is an ideal role for someone ready to move beyond individual contribution and take ownership of broader outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Reporting, Analytics, and Insights
- Own the development and delivery of dashboards, leadership reports, KPIs, and operational insights.
- Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
- Aggregate, cleanse, and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance drivers.
- Create compelling visualizations and presentations that make complex information easy for leadership to understand.
- Establish and maintain reporting standards that promote accuracy, consistency, and usability.
- Partner with stakeholders to define meaningful measures of performance and business effectiveness.
Operations and Process Improvement
- Lead assigned reporting and operations workstreams from intake through delivery.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, automate, and scale recurring processes.
- Document current and future-state processes, dependencies, controls, and operating procedures.
- Develop reusable reporting assets, templates, and analytical tools.
- Recommend improvements that enhance turnaround time, data quality, stakeholder experience, and operational transparency.
- Leverage firm-approved tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, Tableau Prep, SharePoint, Power Automate, AI tools, and related technologies.
Stakeholder Partnership
- Serve as a trusted day-to-day advisor to business, marketing, communications, finance, talent, technology, and other functional stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships across a matrixed organization and work effectively with U.S. and global teams.
- Present findings, recommendations, and progress updates with confidence to senior stakeholders.
- Manage expectations, clarify requirements, and proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and changes.
- Balance multiple priorities while maintaining quality and responsiveness.
Delivery and Workstream Leadership
- Plan and coordinate moderately complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders or data sources.
- Establish milestones, manage dependencies, and track risks through completion.
- Coordinate the contributions of analysts, subject-matter experts, and partner teams.
- Provide informal coaching, peer mentoring, and quality review support.
- Escalate issues appropriately and recommend alternatives when priorities or requirements change.
- Contribute to a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Approximately 6–8 years of experience in reporting, analytics, business operations, PMO, consulting support, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing reporting, analytics, or operational workstreams.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, data integration, and advanced formulas. Proficiency in Tableau and Tableau prep for dashboard development, data visualization, data manipulation, and reporting.
- Experience developing executive-ready PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and storytelling skills.
- Ability to work with large or complex data sets and translate analysis into business recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work with limited supervision, and deliver against deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Experience with Power Automate, SharePoint, or other reporting and workflow automation tools.
- Experience establishing KPI frameworks, reporting standards, or data governance practices.
- Experience supporting marketing, communications, growth, finance, talent, or other corporate functions.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects or coordinating distributed teams.
- Experience working with U.S. stakeholders and across U.S. time zones.
Work Location:
Hyderabad - Shift: 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm OR 11:00 am - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm
