- Welcome and guide patients through the hospital process.
- Explain the doctor’s diagnosis and recommended treatment in simple language.
- Counsel patients regarding cataract surgery, LASIK, glaucoma treatment, retina procedures, etc.
- Explain surgery procedures, perks, risks, expected results, and recovery period.
- Discuss treatment/surgery costs, packages, and payment options as per hospital policy.
- Help patients understand pre-operative tests and preparations.
- Follow up with patients who have been advised surgery or further treatment.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, reception, billing, and operation theatre staff.
- Maintain patient counselling records and follow-up information.
- Answer patients’ and relatives’ questions and address their concerns professionally.
