Advertisement for the Contractual Position of Senior Research Assistant

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one position of Senior Research Assistant

in the Information Technology & Systems Area under Dr Ashutosh Jha at IIM Lucknow.

Eligibility Criteria and Job Specification:

Minimum qualifications:

1) The candidate must possess the minimum qualification prescribed for the respective

position as below, preferably in Management or a relevant field, demonstrating robust

research competence and subject expertise. Remuneration will be offered within the

specified range and will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and

experience.

Education and Work Experience:

i) Senior Research Assistant: Postgraduate degree with a minimum of two years of

relevant post-qualification experience.

2) An excellent academic record with First Class performance throughout, including

Postgraduation in Management, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or related

subjects from a reputed institute or university, completed in regular mode.

Desirable Requirements:

1) Proficiency in Excel, R/Python and/or NVivo.

2) Preference shall be given to candidates who have demonstrated research experience

either through supporting a research publication process, such as through data

collection, analysis, etc., or have published research papers in reputed journals.

Job Specification:

Assisting the faculty member in research and related works, including but not limited to

conducting literature reviews, conceptualizing, designing and conducting research projects,





primary and secondary data collection and analysis, and writing academic reports and research

papers.

Emoluments:

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated monthly fellowship of Rs. 50,000 plus HRA

as per applicable norms.

Mode of Selection: All applications received in response to this advertisement will be

scrutinised, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by email for an interview, which

will be conducted in an online mode only. The final selection will be based on the candidate's

qualifications, relevant experience, and performance during the online interaction.

General Terms and Conditions:

1) The position is purely contractual in nature. The candidate selected for the above post

will be appointed on a contractual basis for an initial period of six months, which may

be extended further based on performance and institute requirements.

2) Incomplete/Ineligible applications will be deemed invalid and rejected without

intimation to the candidate. Only the eligible candidates will be called for the interview.

4) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
