SSI is a leading name in India's skateboarding scene and has also been featured on Shark Tank India. We're building a strong community and content-driven brand around skateboarding, streetwear and youth culture.

About the Role:

Skate Supply India is looking for a Video Editor to join our in-house team and handle video content across Instagram, YouTube and other digital platforms.

You’ll work closely with the founder and marketing team to turn raw footage into engaging, highly watchable content — from short-form Reels to long-form YouTube videos.

We’re looking for someone who doesn't just know how to edit, but understands what makes people stop, watch and share.

What You'll Do

- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form content.
- Edit founder-led content including talking-head videos, voiceovers, educational content and storytelling.
- Edit long-form YouTube videos covering travel, exhibitions, events, business, behind-the-scenes and other experiences.
- Edit different types of SSI content including UGC, office episodes, product videos, skate events, community content and educational videos.
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form pieces.
- Find strong moments, clips and hooks within long-form footage and vlogs.
- Work with dialogue, B-roll, music, sound effects, subtitles, graphics and colour correction.
- Select music that fits the mood, pace and platform of the content, and understand appropriate music usage/copyright considerations.
- Stay ahead of editing and content trends and identify new formats, transitions,



storytelling techniques and styles before they become overused.
- Regularly study Instagram, YouTube and other platforms to understand what is working and why.
- Bring your own creative ideas to the edit rather than simply following a brief.
- Be able to look at a piece of content and say, “This could be much better if we do it this way.”

Creative & Editing Skills We're Looking For

We want someone with great editing taste, not someone who simply knows software.

You should have:

- A strong sense of storytelling, pacing and visual rhythm.
- The ability to make even simple footage interesting through editing.
- A valuable instinct for hooks, retention and scroll-stopping moments.
- An understanding of current social-media editing styles and the creativity to spot emerging trends early.
- Good music sense — knowing when to use music, when not to, and how to edit to the rhythm.
- The ability to creatively use B-roll, memes, screenshots, graphics, references and clips from existing content/YouTube videos where appropriate.
- The curiosity to constantly discover new creators, formats and editing styles.
- Strong attention to detail without over-editing everything.

Camera / Shooting – Big Plus





If you can also handle a camera, that's a strong advantage.

You should be comfortable with basic camera operation, framing, lighting, audio and shooting talking-head and B-roll footage.

You don't need to be a qualified cinematographer — we simply want someone who can pick up a camera and get positive, usable footage when required.

What We're Looking For:

- 2–5 years of experience in video editing.
- Strong portfolio across short-form and long-form content.
- Good understanding of Instagram and YouTube.
- Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro or similar.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple videos at a time.
- Creative, fast, curious and detail-oriented.
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience or interest in skateboarding, streetwear, youth culture, sports or lifestyle content is a plus.

Portfolio:

We want to see how you think and edit, not just how many effects you can use.

- 3–5 best Reels/short-form videos you've edited.
- 2–3 long-form videos you've edited.
- Any videos you've both shot and edited, if applicable.

Applications without a portfolio/showreel will not be considered.

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹540,000.00 per year
