Alayn is an AI-powered hospitality platform helping cafés, restaurants and food businesses operate smarter, understand their performance and make better decisions.

We are looking for a creative Content Creator & Video Editor who can help build Alayn's digital presence through high-quality, engaging and social-first content.

This role is ideal for someone who understands what makes people stop scrolling, watch, engage and share.

You will be involved throughout the content process — from coming up with ideas and shooting content at cafés and restaurants to editing Reels, Shorts and YouTube videos.

The Role

You will help turn Alayn's ideas, hospitality experiences and customer stories into compelling digital content.

You will regularly visit cafés and restaurants across Mumbai, capture video and photography, create social-first content and edit it into polished content for Instagram, YouTube and other platforms.

We are looking for someone who is creative, visually aware and hands-on — someone who doesn't just edit videos, but understands how to create content that performs.

Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation

- Develop creative and engaging content ideas for Alayn's Instagram and YouTube.
- Create Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and longer-form video content.
- Visit cafés, restaurants and hospitality businesses to shoot original content.
- Capture interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, customer experiences and hospitality stories.
- Create content around food, cafés, restaurant operations, technology, AI and entrepreneurship.
- Develop strong hooks, concepts and storytelling angles for short-form content.
- Assist with content calendars and campaign planning.
- Identify social media trends and adapt relevant trends for Alayn.
- Capture high-quality photographs and video footage when required.

Video Editing

- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other social-first videos.
- Edit longer-form YouTube content when required.
- Create engaging hooks and maintain strong pacing throughout videos.
- Add captions, subtitles,



music, sound effects, transitions and basic motion graphics.
- Colour-correct and improve footage where required.
- Create multiple versions of content for different platforms.
- Repurpose long-form footage into multiple short-form pieces.
- Ensure all content follows Alayn's visual identity and brand standards.
- Organise and maintain video footage, project files and content assets.

Social Media

- Stay up to date with Instagram, YouTube and emerging content trends.
- Understand what makes content perform organically.
- Research trending formats, sounds, hooks and storytelling techniques.
- Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future videos.
- Support the development of Alayn's social media strategy.
- Experiment with different content formats and creative approaches.

Hospitality & On-Location Content

- Travel to cafés, restaurants and hospitality businesses across Mumbai for shoots.
- Work comfortably in busy hospitality environments.
- Coordinate with restaurant owners, managers, chefs and staff during shoots.
- Capture authentic content without disrupting the business.
- Help create engaging stories around the people and businesses behind hospitality.

Skills & ExperienceEssential

- Strong video editing skills.
- Good understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
- Strong sense of visual storytelling and pacing.
- Ability to shoot good-quality video using a smartphone or camera.
- Understanding of social media trends and content formats.
- Creative approach to developing content ideas.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple pieces of content.
- Comfortable travelling around Mumbai for shoots.

Editing Software

Experience with one or more of the following:

- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Final Cut Pro
- DaVinci Resolve
- CapCut




- After Effects — an advantage

You should be curious, fast-moving and willing to experiment. You should care about the first three seconds, understand valuable storytelling and constantly look for ways to make content better.
