Job Description: IT Intern (Hospitality)

Position Title: IT Intern / Systems Trainee

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Stipend: ₹8,000 – ₹10,000 per month

Duration: 3 to 6 Months (with potential for full-time absorption based on performance)

Job Purpose

The IT Intern will assist the IT team in managing day-to-day hardware, software, networking, and technical support across the hotel property. This entry-level role offers practical exposure to real-world hospitality technology systems, user helpdesk operations, network maintenance, and IT asset tracking under the guidance of senior IT staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Hardware & Desktop Support: Assist in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop computers, laptops, receipt printers, bio-metric machines, and peripheral devices for staff members.
- Network & Connectivity Maintenance: Help monitor property Wi-Fi access points, LAN connections, routers, and switches to support smooth internet access for hotel guests and operational teams.
- Hotel Systems Exposure: Learn and assist with basic operational support for Hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) terminals in F&B; outlets, and keycard door lock encoders.
- User Support & Ticketing: Help resolve routine technical issues, password resets, email client configurations,



and basic software troubleshooting for non-technical employees.
- Asset Tracking & Register Maintenance: Assist in maintaining hardware inventory logs, software licenses, asset registers, and tracking repair records.
- CCTV & Peripheral Checking: Assist in periodic routine checks of CCTV camera feeds, printer toners, cable management, and generator/UPS backup connections.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma / Degree in Computer Applications (BCA/MCA), IT, Computer Science, Hardware & Networking, or related streams.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office / Google Workspace, and internet troubleshooting.
- Elementary understanding of networking concepts (IP addresses, LAN/WAN cables, Wi-Fi setups).
- Personal Attributes: Strong curiosity to learn hotel technology systems, punctuality, valuable problem-solving mindset, and professional conduct when handling guest or staff IT queries.

Compensation & Benefits

- Stipend: ₹10000 to ₹12,000 per month
- Benefits: On-duty meals, hands-on practical training on hotel PMS/POS software, Internship Certificate upon completion, and opportunity for absorption into full-time roles (like IT Executive).

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
