Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Equipment Erection, Boiler, Static Equipment and Rotary Equipment for Oil & Gas / Petrochemical projects in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The candidate will be responsible for mechanical equipment erection, installation, alignment, inspection, testing, commissioning support and site execution activities. The role requires robust knowledge of mechanical equipment, drawings, specifications, erection procedures and coordination with contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary project teams.

Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery project experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day mechanical equipment erection and site execution activities.
- Supervise erection, installation, alignment and commissioning of static and rotary equipment.
- Handle equipment such as boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, turbines and other mechanical equipment.
- Review and interpret GA drawings, equipment drawings, layouts, specifications and erection procedures.
- Supervise equipment shifting, positioning, lifting, erection and installation activities.
- Ensure proper equipment alignment, leveling, grouting and foundation/interface checks.
- Coordinate equipment erection activities with Civil, Structural, Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation teams.
- Monitor installation of static equipment, including vessels, columns, tanks, heat exchangers and other process equipment.
- Monitor installation and alignment of rotary equipment, including pumps,



compressors, turbines and associated equipment.
- Supervise boiler erection and installation activities, wherever applicable.
- Ensure equipment erection is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements and project standards.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and project management teams.
- Monitor availability of equipment, tools, lifting arrangements, manpower and materials required for execution.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, dimensional checks and quality requirements.
- Support equipment inspection, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Identify site issues, technical discrepancies and construction constraints and coordinate for timely resolution.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure adequate manpower and resources are deployed.
- Track daily work progress and prepare daily progress reports and equipment erection documentation.
- Ensure compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, safety procedures and project specifications.
- Coordinate lifting and erection activities with the site safety team and ensure compliance with HSE requirements.
- Monitor work progress against project schedules and support timely completion of mechanical activities.
- Maintain proper documentation related to equipment erection, inspection, alignment and testing.
- Support the project team in achieving quality, safety, schedule and execution targets.

Qualifications & Skills





- Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–12 years of relevant experience in mechanical construction and equipment erection.
- Strong experience in Equipment Erection / Mechanical Site Execution.
- Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery project experience is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Static and Rotary Equipment.
- Experience in Boiler erection / installation will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of equipment erection, installation, alignment, leveling and grouting.
- Experience with pumps, compressors, turbines, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns and other process equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, equipment drawings, layouts and specifications.
- Good understanding of mechanical construction and erection procedures.
- Experience in coordinating with contractors, vendors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of equipment inspection, testing, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Good understanding of QA/QC and HSE requirements for mechanical erection activities.
- Good knowledge of MS Office / MS Excel.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery and Industrial Projects will be preferred.
