Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hardworking Commis Chef with a minimum of 1 year of kitchen experience and good practical knowledge of Chinese cuisine.

The candidate will assist the senior chefs in daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and cooking while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, hygiene, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes as per the restaurant's standards and recipes.
- Assist with the preparation of fried rice, noodles, starters, soups, stir-fried dishes, sauces, and other Chinese preparations.
- Carry out mise en place, including cutting, chopping, slicing, marinating, and ingredient preparation.
- Assist senior chefs during kitchen operations and busy service periods.
- Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portion size, and presentation.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.




- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Minimize food wastage and use ingredients efficiently.
- Assist with kitchen cleaning and closing duties.
- Perform other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar kitchen position.
- Must have hands-on experience in preparing Chinese dishes.
- Basic knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Good knife-handling and food preparation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Positive teamwork and communication skills.
- Hardworking, punctual, disciplined, and willing to learn.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.

Salary & Benefits

- Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹22,000 per month
