Utility Officer is responsible for ensuring the warehouse infrastructure, large-scale kitchen appliances, power/water facilities, and inventory systems operate at peak efficiency. This role involves preventive maintenance, vendor coordination for breakdowns, safety compliance, and assisting with bulk stock movements to keep the digital food delivery operations running without downtime.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

1. Infrastructure & Utility Management

- Monitor Core Utilities: Track and maintain the continuous operation of water supply, commercial gas pipelines, drainage systems, and backup power generators.
- HVAC & Exhaust Systems: Regularly inspect and manage massive warehouse exhaust hoods, fresh air systems, and central air conditioning to maintain strict temperature and airflow standards.
- Cold Chain Maintenance: Monitor temperatures for industrial walk-in freezers and chillers, logging anomalies immediately to prevent food spoilage.

2. Preventive Maintenance & Repair Coordination

- Equipment Upkeep: Perform basic troubleshooting and routine checks on shared warehouse equipment (e.g., commercial dishwashers, ice machines, high-capacity fryers, ovens, and trash compactors). [1, 2]
- Vendor Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for external technicians, scheduling and supervising heavy repairs, electrical overhauls, or pest control routines. [1]
- Asset Logging: Maintain logs of equipment performance, breakdowns, and service schedules.

3. Warehouse Logistics & Inventory Support

- Receiving & Dispatch: Assist the warehouse team in receiving bulk packaging, raw ingredients, and kitchen equipment, ensuring everything is safely stowed.
- Stock Distribution:



Help distribute bulk inventory and cleaning chemicals from the central warehouse storage to individual brand kitchen stations.
- Waste Management: Oversee the proper disposal of food waste and hazardous kitchen oils according to local environmental laws.

4. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

- Deep Cleaning Supervision: While standard utility workers wash dishes, the Warehouse Utility Officer coordinates the scheduled deep-cleaning of shared spaces (loading docks, central wash zones, grease traps).
- HACCP & Safety Audits: Ensure the warehouse strictly adheres to food safety regulations, fire safety protocols, and occupational hazard guidelines.
- Emergency Response: Serve as the immediate responder for facility emergencies like power outages, gas leaks, or water shortages to mitigate business disruption. [1]

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in facility maintenance, operations, or utility coordination, ideally within the FMCG, cloud kitchen, hospitality, or warehouse sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of commercial electrical boards, plumbing networks, gas lines, and refrigeration systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to address immediate equipment issues before they bottleneck food delivery times.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to work in varying temperature environments (cold storage rooms to hot kitchen spaces) and lift warehouse goods.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work adaptable shift patterns, including nights and weekends, to support a 24/7 delivery operation. [1, 2, 3, 4]
