Academic:

MBA, graduate with post qualification course in insurance, AIII / FIII

Experience:

§ Minimum 7 years in motor underwriting within the insurance industry.

§ Strong knowledge of motor insurance policies, underwriting principles, and relevant regulations

Competencies

· In-depth understanding of Motor product & GI industry.

· Good technical knowledge with portfolio management to execute on-ground strategy in digital channel

· Logical thinking ability, Sound analytical & solution-oriented mindset.

· Good presentation & communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities

§ Responsible for Motor business performance & Portfolio management at zonal level.

- Develop and implement underwriting policies, guidelines, and procedures to manage risk and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate and underwrite complex motor insurance risks, making decisions on policy terms, conditions, and pricing.
- Monitor and analyze underwriting performance, identifying trends and areas for improvement.




- Collaborate with the sales and claims departments to ensure a seamless approach to motor insurance services.
- Maintain robust relationships with agents, and other stakeholders, providing expert advice and support on underwriting matters.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes to ensure competitive and compliant underwriting practices.
- Prepare regular reports on underwriting performance, risk exposure, and key metrics for senior management review

§ Contribute in price review exercise at regular intervals through market benchmarking & identifying the areas for correction

§ Liaison with all stakeholders (Sales, IT, Operations, Legal & Compliance) for all matters pertaining to this role.

§ Ensure 100% compliance with all the underwriting approvals & guidelines.

- Technical Audit for respective role.

Pay: ₹1,400,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
