The role of a trainer is to organize training programs and to develop a competency and skill
sets in an individual to perform his/her effectively and efficiently in the work place. The
trainer should communicate to the trainees about what is expected out of training in a simple and professional way.
The trainer plays a pivotal role from start to end of the training that includes the following:
o Training plan
o Timing of different training sessions
o Choosing the relevant training methods
o Preparing the training materials and aids
o Conducting training sessions and
o Evaluating the post training session
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plans, conducts, coordinates and implements a comprehensive training program for staff.Training components (GDS, CRM and phone system) will be geared toward new hires,existing staff and individuals who seek one-on-one assistance.
- Prepares new representatives by conducting orientation to sales and service processes;developing individual coaching plans; providing resources and assistance; scheduling orientation and ongoing training.
- Determines training needs by observing sales and service encounters; studying sales, technical, service and customer experience results reports; conferring with management.
- Develops individual results by maintaining policy and procedure resources; providing coaching; conducting training sessions; developing outcome improvement resources.
- Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; making support readily available; integrating support with routine job functions.
- Supports training financial objectives by recommending budget items; controlling costs.
- Updates job knowledge and training manual by reading regular industry updates related to our process; coordinating with Operational manager and Mann Travel team for current updates.
- Engages in all sales- and service-related tasks, including but not limited to process improvement, group and individual call observation, quality calibration and mentoring activities.
- Thorough understanding of competition within industry, GDS –Galileo, fares, geography, technical support and new product development.
- Performs all other duties as required.
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Trainer at an established BPO.
- 1 year Travel Sales Experience as a Trainer.
- Minimum 2 years Overall experience as a Trainer.
- Knowledge of GDS a must
