We are looking for an experienced contractor to design, build and deploy Copilot agents and integrate them with our Microsoft 365 and Power Platform environment. The goal is to automate routine work, give employees fast access to company knowledge, and connect agents to the systems our teams already use. You will work with our business and IT teams to turn use cases into secure, reliable agents that people actually adopt.
Key Responsibilities
- Run discovery sessions with business teams to identify and prioritise agent use cases (for example HR, IT helpdesk, sales support, finance queries).
- Design, build and publish agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility (declarative agents and custom engine agents).
- Ground agents on enterprise data from SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Outlook and Dataverse, with correct permissions and sensitivity handling.
- Build workflows and actions using Power Automate, custom connectors and APIs, including connections to line-of-business systems such as CRM, ERP and HRMS.
- Configure agent topics, prompts, knowledge sources, fallback behaviour and escalation to a human.
- Deploy agents in Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot and, where needed, web or other channels.
- Apply security and governance: Microsoft Entra ID authentication, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, workplace strategy and alignment with Microsoft Purview.
- Test agents for accuracy, safety and performance, and set up monitoring, analytics and an improvement process.
- Document designs, configurations and runbooks, and train internal admins and power users to maintain the agents.
- Provide a clear handover at the end of the contract.
Required Skills and Experience
- 8+ years of experience in the Microsoft ecosystem,
including at least 2 years building agents or chatbots with Copilot Studio (formerly Power Virtual Agents).
- Hands-on experience with Power Platform: Power Automate, Power Apps and Dataverse.
- Experience integrating systems through REST APIs, custom connectors and Microsoft Graph.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, SharePoint, Teams and Entra ID.
- Understanding of generative AI concepts: prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), grounding and evaluating output quality.
- Knowledge of security, compliance and data governance in Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical choices to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- B.Tech. / MCA
- Experience with Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI Service and Azure Functions or Logic Apps.
- Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar tool integration patterns.
- Languages such as C#, JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for custom extensions.
- Microsoft certifications such as PL-200, PL-600, AI-102 or MS-102.
- Experience with agent evaluation, telemetry and ALM (solutions, pipelines, source control).
Deliverables
- Use-case assessment and prioritised roadmap for agents.
- Production-ready agents deployed in Teams / Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Integrations with other systems.
- Security, DLP and governance configuration documented and reviewed by IT.
- Test results, monitoring dashboard and user guides.
- Knowledge transfer sessions and a final handover document.
Success Measures
- Agents delivered on agreed timelines and accepted by business owners.
- Measurable adoption and time saved per use case.
- Answer accuracy and user satisfaction above agreed thresholds.
- No security or compliance exceptions.
Pay: ₹2,000.00 - ₹2,200.00 per hour
