1. EHS Management System
- Implement, maintain, and continually improve the ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and documented information.
- Develop and monitor EHS objectives, targets, and improvement programs.
- Maintain EHS records and documentation as per management system requirements.
- Coordinate management review activities related to EHS.
- Drive continual improvement in EHS performance.
2. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
- Identify applicable EHS statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain the legal compliance register and ensure periodic evaluation of compliance.
- Coordinate required statutory inspections, licenses, consents, returns, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with applicable requirements related to pollution control, hazardous waste, fire safety, occupational safety, and employee health.
- Coordinate with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external agencies whenever required.
- Track and close statutory compliance gaps within defined timelines.
3. Risk Assessment & Safety Management
- Conduct and periodically review HIRA, JSA/JHA, and risk assessments.
- Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and ensure effective corrective actions.
- Implement the hierarchy of controls to eliminate or reduce workplace risks.
- Ensure machine guarding and safety interlocks are effective.
- Monitor electrical, mechanical, chemical, fire, material handling, and other workplace hazards.
- Implement LOTO and safe work practices.
- Review safety requirements for new machines, processes, chemicals, and projects.
4. Incident & Accident Management
- Lead investigation of accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, or other appropriate methodologies.
- Prepare incident investigation reports.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions and monitor effectiveness.
- Analyze incident trends and identify preventive improvement opportunities.
- Drive near-miss reporting and proactive safety culture.
5. Environmental Management
- Monitor environmental performance and compliance.
- Ensure proper segregation, storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
- Monitor water consumption, energy consumption, emissions, wastewater, and other significant environmental aspects.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring through authorized agencies.
- Ensure proper operation and compliance of ETP/STP and pollution-control systems, where applicable.
- Drive initiatives for waste reduction, recycling, resource conservation, and pollution prevention.
- Maintain environmental records and statutory documentation.
6. Emergency Preparedness & Response
- Develop, implement, and periodically review emergency preparedness and response plans.
- Conduct emergency mock drills for scenarios such as:
o Fire
o Chemical spill
o Gas leakage
o Electrical emergency
o Medical emergency
o Natural disasters
- Evaluate drill effectiveness and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure availability and readiness of firefighting and emergency response equipment.
- Coordinate with fire services, hospitals, security, and other emergency response agencies as required.
7. Fire & Life Safety
- Ensure availability and periodic inspection of fire extinguishers, hydrants, fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency exits, and other fire protection systems.
- Conduct regular fire and safety inspections.
- Ensure emergency exits and evacuation routes remain accessible.
- Coordinate fire safety training and mock drills.
- Monitor closure of fire safety observations.
8. Contractor & Visitor Safety
- Establish and monitor contractor EHS requirements.
- Conduct contractor safety induction and awareness training.
- Ensure contractor compliance with PPE,
work permits, risk assessments, and safe working procedures.
- Monitor high-risk contractor activities.
- Conduct contractor safety audits and performance reviews.
- Ensure visitors follow applicable plant safety requirements.
9. EHS Training & Awareness
- Develop and conduct EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
- Conduct induction training for new employees.
- Provide training on:
o PPE
o Fire safety
o Chemical safety
o Emergency response
o Waste management
o Secure material handling
o Machine safety
o Work-at-height safety
o Near-miss reporting
- Maintain training records and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Promote a proactive EHS culture across the organization.
10. Audit Management
- Plan and conduct internal EHS audits.
- Coordinate ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification/surveillance audits.
- Support customer and corporate EHS audits.
- Identify non-conformities, observations, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare corrective action plans and ensure timely closure.
- Verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Maintain audit records and compliance status.
11. Health & Occupational Hygiene
- Coordinate periodic medical examinations and health surveillance programs as applicable.
- Identify occupational health risks related to noise, dust, chemicals, heat, ergonomics, etc.
- Monitor workplace environmental conditions through appropriate measurements.
- Coordinate occupational health programs with the medical team/authorized agencies.
- Maintain relevant health and occupational hygiene records.
12. Continuous Improvement
- Lead EHS improvement projects to reduce:
o Accidents
o Near misses
o Unsafe conditions
o Environmental incidents
o Waste generation
o Energy consumption
o Water consumption
o EHS-related costs
- Implement best practices and lessons learned.
- Promote employee participation in EHS improvement initiatives.
- Develop and monitor EHS improvement KPIs.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
