Bhagwati Group is looking for a Rice Analyst to monitor and evaluate the quality of paddy and rice throughout the milling process. The candidate will be responsible for paddy and rice quality analysis, milling performance, recovery, grading, and quality reporting, while coordinating with Production and Quality teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct quality analysis of incoming paddy, processed rice, and finished products.
- Check key parameters such as moisture, foreign matter, broken rice, head rice, milling quality, whiteness, and grain characteristics.
- Evaluate paddy quality and milling suitability before and during processing.
- Monitor milling recovery, head rice yield, broken percentage, and process losses.
- Analyze rice samples at different stages of the milling process and identify quality deviations.
- Coordinate with Production to optimize milling parameters and rice quality.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, test reports, quality data, and daily analysis reports.
- Monitor quality consistency across different paddy lots and finished rice batches.
- Support paddy procurement/quality assessment by providing technical analysis where required.
- Identify reasons for quality issues such as excessive breakage, discoloration, poor milling recovery, or inconsistent grain quality.
- Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse,



and Packing teams for quality-related matters.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and applicable food safety/quality procedures.
- Maintain proper laboratory practices, testing equipment, cleanliness, and documentation.

Qualifications and skills Requirements

- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture or related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in rice milling, grain quality, food processing, or agricultural commodity testing.
- Practical knowledge of paddy and rice quality parameters.
- Experience in rice/rice grain testing and quality analysis preferred.
- Good understanding of milling recovery, head rice yield, broken rice, moisture, grading, and grain quality.
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working in both laboratory and rice mill/plant environments.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel.

Preferred: Candidates with prior experience in a rice mill, rice processing company, grain laboratory, or paddy/rice procurement quality team will be preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
