Business Development Manager - Digital Marketing Services

Equal Stories is a digital-first marketing agency helping businesses grow through strategy, performance marketing, content creation and marketing automation.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to sell our digital marketing services and turn business opportunities into clients.

The role

Your primary focus will be converting incoming leads from our network, referrals and marketing activities. This role involves more than calling prospects-it requires understanding their business, proposing the right marketing solution and closing the deal.

You will:

- Understand prospects’ businesses, marketing needs and growth objectives.
- Research markets and competitors to identify opportunities.
- Create marketing plans, proposals and pitch decks independently or alongside the founders and our Campaigns and Creative teams.
- Present solutions, manage follow-ups, negotiate and close deals.
- Own smaller opportunities from discovery through closure and handover to Client Servicing; work with the founders on larger pitches.
- Generate your own leads when needed, with higher incentives for business you independently source and close.

Who we’re looking for

- 2-4 years of relevant business development, sales or client-facing experience; a digital marketing or advertising agency background is preferred.




- A working understanding of digital marketing strategy and performance marketing.
- Ability to connect a client’s business objectives to suitable marketing services and create clear proposals.
- Strong communication and presentation skills in English and Malayalam.
- Confidence in speaking with business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Ownership of follow-ups and closures, with willingness to travel for client meetings.

You don’t need to be a digital marketing expert, but marketing fundamentals are essential. Our team will help you build deeper knowledge.

Working at Equal Stories

You’ll work directly with two founders with 14+ years of industry experience-and a young, energetic team. Expect a friendly, collaborative environment, room to contribute ideas, and hands-on exposure to strategy, creative work and performance marketing.

You’ll have an existing lead pipeline, founder support on strategic opportunities, and monthly incentives that reward successful closures and independently generated business.
