Position: Staff Nurse – OPD & IPD Nurse

About the Role

Healic Hospital is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and responsible Staff Nurse to join our OPD & IPD Nursing Team. The candidate will be responsible for providing quality patient care, assisting doctors, monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, maintaining clinical records, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate should have good clinical knowledge, solid communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hospital environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care

- Provide quality nursing care to patients in OPD and IPD.
- Monitor and record vital signs and patients' clinical conditions.
- Assist patients with admission, transfer, discharge, and routine care.
- Ensure proper hygiene, comfort, and safety of patients.
- Observe patients for changes in their condition and promptly inform the concerned doctor.
- Support patients and attendants with routine nursing-related requirements.

Clinical Responsibilities

- Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Perform routine nursing procedures as per hospital protocols.
- Assist doctors during examinations, consultations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, and surgeries when required.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
- Monitor patients' response to treatment and report any abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records.

OPD Responsibilities

- Assist doctors during OPD consultations and procedures.




- Prepare examination rooms and ensure required equipment and supplies are available.
- Record patient history, vitals, and other relevant clinical information.
- Coordinate with diagnostic, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments as required.
- Ensure proper patient flow and timely assistance during consultations.

IPD Responsibilities

- Monitor admitted patients regularly and maintain proper documentation.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments on time.
- Assist in patient rounds and follow doctors' instructions.
- Maintain nursing charts, medication records, and other required documentation.
- Ensure timely communication of critical observations to the concerned doctor.
- Provide proper patient handover during shift changes.

Patient & Attendant Coordination

- Communicate professionally and courteously with patients and attendants.
- Explain routine nursing procedures and care instructions as directed by doctors.
- Address basic patient concerns and coordinate with the concerned department when required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Safety, Infection Control & Documentation

- Follow hospital nursing protocols and infection-control practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the assigned patient-care area.
- Follow proper biomedical waste management procedures.
- Ensure emergency equipment and essential nursing supplies are available.




- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Follow hospital policies, patient-safety standards, and clinical guidelines.

Coordination & Handover

- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing staff, laboratory, pharmacy, OT, housekeeping, and other departments.
- Provide complete and accurate handover at the end of every shift.
- Escalate patient-related concerns promptly to the appropriate authority.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements

- GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration.
- Freshers with relevant clinical exposure may be considered.
- Previous experience in OPD/IPD nursing will be preferred.
- Experience in a hospital, multispecialty hospital, or healthcare facility will be an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of nursing procedures, medication administration, patient monitoring, and infection control.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.

Experience

Freshers with relevant clinical exposure may be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
