About the Role

GRL is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA / Test Engineer to join our development team. The

candidate will be responsible for testing web applications, APIs, and application workflows to ensure

quality, reliability, and a smooth user experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fresher who is interested in building a career in Software Quality

Assurance and Testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements and application workflows.

- Prepare and execute test scenarios and test cases.

- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and exploratory testing.

- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues.

- Retest defects after fixes and perform regression testing.

- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.

- Validate API requests, responses, status codes, authentication, and error handling.

- Perform database testing and verify data consistency and correctness.

- Work with MongoDB to validate application data when required.

- Test web applications across different browsers and screen sizes.

- Identify edge cases and scenarios that may impact the user experience.

- Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, and other team members to understand and resolve

issues.

- Participate in requirement discussions and provide QA inputs.

- Maintain proper testing documentation and bug reports.

- Support testing during application releases and deployments.

Required Skills

Manual Testing

- Basic understanding of Software Testing and QA concepts.

- Understanding of SDLC and STLC.

- Knowledge of different types of software testing.

- Ability to create clear and structured test cases.

- Understanding of severity, priority, and defect lifecycle.

- Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.

API Testing

- Basic understanding of REST APIs.

- Familiarity with Postman.

- Understanding of HTTP methods such as GET, POST, PUT, PATCH, and DELETE.





- Basic knowledge of HTTP status codes and JSON responses.

- Ability to validate API request and response data.

Database Testing

- Basic understanding of databases and data validation.

- Knowledge of MongoDB is preferred.

- Ability to verify whether application data is correctly stored and retrieved.

- Understanding of basic CRUD operations is an advantage.

Tools & Processes

- Familiarity with Jira or similar bug-tracking tools is an advantage.

- Basic understanding of Git/GitHub is a plus.

- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology is an advantage.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

- Fresh graduates with relevant academic projects or internship experience are welcome to apply.

Experience

1–2 Year

Freshers with a strong understanding of software testing concepts and a willingness to learn are

encouraged to apply.

What You Will Work On

The QA / Test Engineer will work closely with the development and product teams to test new features,

enhancements, APIs, database operations, and complete application workflows.

The role will provide hands-on experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, MongoDB/Database Testing,

Bug Tracking, Regression Testing, and Quality Assurance processes.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
