Client runs ARCS in two flavors -- Reconciliation Compliance and Transaction Matching -- as part of its Oracle Cloud EPM footprint alongside FCC, PBCS and EDMCS. Because ARCS and FCC share close-calendar dependencies and some of the same underlying Essbase/consolidation concepts, this seat is expected to be strong on ARCS day to day and comfortable enough with FCC to help when the close calendar demands it.
What You'll Own
Owning ARCS formats and rules configuration, and the design and maintenance of ARCS Transaction Matching.
Supporting the month-end close and reconciliation process from the ARCS side -- watching preparer/reviewer workflows and resolving matching or load issues as they come up.
Building automation using EPM Automate to reduce manual steps in the reconciliation cycle.
Writing SQL and building ARCS custom reports when the out-of-the-box reporting doesn't answer the question Controllership is asking.
Working in Data Exchange/FDMee/Data Integration and EPMi to keep the data feeding ARCS accurate.
Being the backup on FCC business rules, calculation scripts and Essbase fundamentals (translation, intercompany, consolidated journals) given the shared close calendar with the FCC analyst.
What You Need to Bring
At least one end-to-end ARCS implementation, with real proficiency in ARCS formats, rules and Transaction Matching design.
Solid month-end close and reconciliation process knowledge, and robust Excel skills for the manual analysis that inevitably comes up.
SQL proficiency for custom ARCS reporting, and hands-on EPM Automate scripting experience.
Enough FCC and Essbase fundamentals -- translation, intercompany, consolidated journals, business rules and calculation scripts -- to genuinely help when FCC needs an extra set of hands; ideally with exposure to at least one FCC implementation as well.
Coverage & Reporting
Sits in the EPM tower alongside the FCC, PBCS/EPBCS, Narrative Reporting and EDMCS analysts, sharing the same close calendar and much of the same underlying data.
