Client runs the Projects (PRJ) module as part of Core Accounting, and this seat owns that sub-workstream end to end -- currently a single dedicated resource in the baseline, which makes this a role where you're both the design authority and the person who does the hands-on configuration when it counts.
What You'll Own
Gathering and documenting business requirements for Project Accounting and running fit-gap analysis against the current PRJ configuration.
Owning solution design -- process flow mapping, configuration workbooks -- and building proof-of-concepts for complex costing, billing or revenue-recognition scenarios.
Guiding offshore resources on RICE object development tied to Project Accounting, and preparing Functional Design Documents through to sign-off.
Owning the integration design between Project Accounting and GL, Procurement and other upstream/downstream systems, including Chart of Accounts mapping and Accounting Hub considerations specific to project-related postings.
Writing test scripts and running SIT/UAT for Project Accounting changes, tracking defects to resolution, and running regression testing after Oracle's quarterly updates.
Owning production deployment and go-live support for this workstream, then staying on for triage, bug fixes and enhancements.
Running the quarterly Oracle patch assessment for Project Accounting specifically -- recent PPM features land often enough that this is a real recurring task, not a formality.
Owning month-end and year-end close support tied to Projects, including reconciliation and period close, plus coordinating directly with Oracle Support when needed.
What You Need to Bring
Six or more years with Oracle Project Financials/PPM (Cloud or EBS), including having owned this scope through at least one full implementation or managed-services transition.
Real understanding of project costing, billing and revenue recognition, and how those postings flow into GL and interact with Procurement.
Comfort guiding offshore resources on configuration and RICE development and signing off on their work.
Enough breadth to run a quarterly Oracle patch assessment for Projects specifically without needing it explained.
Coverage & Reporting
