Job Summary
The Product Functional Test Mechanical Technician supports product functional testing by preparing, assembling, installing, and dismantling test articles and associated test equipment. The role is responsible for instrumentation installation, test-cell setup, test execution support, preliminary troubleshooting, and maintenance of laboratory and test-cell equipment.
The position requires a strong understanding of engine test-cell operations, engine components, test equipment, and established testing procedures to ensure secure, reliable, and accurate test results. The technician works closely with engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders and may support 24/7 test operations.
Key Responsibilities
Test Article Preparation & Functional Testing
• Prepare test articles, engines, fixtures, rigs, and associated equipment in accordance with approved test plans and procedures.
• Assemble and disassemble engines and test articles according to test requirements.
• Install instrumentation on test articles in accordance with applicable engineering standards and test requirements.




• Conduct and monitor engine/product functional tests as defined by the test plan and established test methodologies.
• Understand the operation of the product under test and test equipment to assess their impact on the validity and quality of test results.
• Set up and configure test equipment, instrumentation, and supporting systems to meet test requirements.
• Perform test stand installation, modifications, and setup activities as required.
• Install and remove engines from test cells safely and efficiently.

Test Equipment, Data & Troubleshooting
• Verify equipment readiness and calibration before testing and perform tests according to approved procedures or work instructions.
• Support data acquisition and ensure test data is accurate, complete, and traceable.
• Prepare clear test documentation covering test methods, equipment/instrument settings, results, and relevant observations
