Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP & QM AMS Support Lead Consultant to manage and support SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) processes for a large healthcare client. The candidate will lead AMS support activities, drive incident and problem management, coordinate enhancements, and ensure stable operations across manufacturing and quality processes in a regulated healthcare workplace.

AMS Support Leadership

- Lead SAP PP and QM AMS support team and serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders.
- Manage incidents, service requests, problem management, and change requests within agreed SLAs.
- Conduct daily operational reviews and prioritize production support activities.
- Coordinate with business users, functional teams, BASIS, security, and development teams.
- Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions for recurring issues.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end business activities.

SAP PP Functional Responsibilities

- Support Production Orders, Process Orders, Work Centers, Routing, BOM, and MRP processes.
- Analyze and troubleshoot planning and manufacturing execution issues.
- Monitor MRP runs and resolve planning exceptions.
- Support capacity planning, production scheduling, and shop floor integration.
- Coordinate with MM, WM/EWM, SD, and QM teams for end-to-end process support.

SAP QM Functional Responsibilities

- Support Inspection Lots, Quality Notifications, Quality Certificates, and Usage Decisions.
- Manage quality planning, quality inspections, and quality control processes.
- Resolve issues related to incoming, in-process, and finished goods inspections.
- Support batch management and traceability requirements.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and regulatory standards.

Enhancement & Continuous Improvement

- Gather business requirements and prepare functional specifications.
- Support minor enhancements, testing, and deployments.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.




- Participate in project upgrades, S/4HANA initiatives, and system improvements.

Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain support documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and training materials.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, GxP, SOX, and healthcare industry requirements.
- Support audit activities and provide required system documentation.

SAP Functional Expertise

- Strong knowledge of: SAP PP (Production Planning) SAP QM (Quality Management) SAP MM integration Batch Management Master Data Management Manufacturing Processes

AMS Experience

- Minimum 5 years of SAP AMS support experience.
- Experience managing offshore/onshore support teams.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes: Incident Management Problem Management Change Management Service Level Management
1. AMS Delivery & Operations
- SAP AMS delivery, ensuring SLA compliance and high-quality service.
- Manage incident, problem, change, and release management activities following ITIL standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Ensure operational stability of the SAP AMS landscape (both Decentralized and Embedded).
- Collaborate with offshore delivery teams for 24x7 coverage and global service continuity.
2. Transition Management (as Receiver)
- Ensuring complete and accurate knowledge transfer from the incumbent vendor or implementation team.
- Validate and document processes, configurations, and open tickets during transition.
- Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in the incoming support scope.
- Establish transition governance, reporting mechanisms, and issue resolution frameworks.




- Drive stabilization phase post-transition and ensure smooth handover into steady-state AMS operations.
3. Functional Expertise
- Provide advanced functional and operational support for:
- Understanding of Client business processes specially for HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY in Manufacturing (Discrete, PP-PI & REM) Supply chain and related areas
- Should be capable of Handling the interfaces between ECC and S4 HANA SAP systems, any 3rd party system integrations, root cause and fix errors.
- Knowledge of handling Output types, IDOCs, batch jobs is a plus.
- Proficient communication skills with proactive approach to work with US client for issue resolution, process improvisation through solutioning.
- PP QM Configuration & Customization
- Support integrations with SAP S/4HANA, PP, TM, QM, and 3PL systems.
- Deliver minor enhancements, system tuning, and continuous process improvements.
4. Stakeholder & Team Interactions
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify automation and optimization opportunities to improve service efficiency.
- Support innovation projects, such as migration to S/4HANA Embedded PPor warehouse automation integration.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge management and documentation.
