About the Opportunity
A leading diagnostics and clinical microbiology solutions provider in India, we deliver high-accuracy, rapid-turnaround microbial testing services for hospitals, pathology labs, and public health initiatives. Our lab networks are equipped with cutting-edge biosafety and automation tools to support infectious disease surveillance, antimicrobial resistance profiling, and clinical decision-making across urban and rural healthcare systems.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform culture, identification, and susceptibility testing of bacterial, fungal, and viral isolates using CLSI and WHO protocols.
- Operate and maintain Automated Microbiology Systems (VITEK, BD Phoenix, WALKaway) and PCR-based platforms for rapid diagnostics.
- Document test results in LIMS with zero data entry errors and ensure timely reporting to clinicians and epidemiologists.
- Implement QC procedures for reagents, media, and equipment; troubleshoot deviations and validate new assays.
- Collaborate with infection control teams to interpret antimicrobial resistance patterns and support stewardship programs.
- Adhere strictly to biosafety Level 2/3 guidelines, SOPs, and regulatory standards (NABL,
ISO 15189).
Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Applied Biology, or related field.
- Experience: 1–4 years of bench laboratory experience in pharmaceutical, diagnostic, food safety, or biotechnology testing.
- Technical Skills: Sound grasp of aseptic techniques, microbial identification, standard culture methods, and basic statistical analysis.
- Soft Skills: Sharp attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and clear written/verbal communication.
