The SAP S4HANA ABAP Consultant designs, develops, enhances, and supports SAP applications using ABAP within SAP S4HANA environments. Collaborating closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders, the role delivers custom developments—including reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and integrations—while adhering to SAP best practices and development standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and deploy ABAP solutions in SAP S4HANA.
- Analyze business requirements and create technical design documents.
- Develop custom reports (classical, interactive, ALV), enhancements (e.g., BAdIs, User Exits), interfaces, forms (Smart Forms, Adobe Forms), and workflows.
- Build and support SAP Fiori applications and OData services using SAP Gateway.
- Develop and optimize CDS Views, AMDPs, and SAP HANA-optimized solutions.
- Perform custom code remediation and simplification for SAP S4HANA migrations.
- Integrate SAP and third-party systems via IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Proxy Services, REST, SOAP, and EDI.
- Tune and optimize ABAP program performance using tools like ST22, ST05, SAT, and SQL Trace.




- Support data migration and conversion activities.
- Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing; resolve defects efficiently.
- Prepare technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot technical issues.
