Bharat Ecofuel Fuel is expanding its portfolio of renewable natural gas solutions and is looking for a CBG Project Technical Manager who can drive technical excellence from the earliest concept stage through to successful plant handover. The role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, and project execution, requiring a professional who can translate client needs into robust technical solutions while ensuring that every phase of the project adheres to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
The successful candidate will begin each engagement by conducting thorough feasibility studies and site surveys. This includes evaluating the suitability of the location, assessing feedstock availability, and performing detailed technical due diligence. By quantifying biogas generation potential and estimating CBG output, the manager provides the data needed for informed decision‑making and risk assessment.
In the pre‑sales phase, the manager acts as the technical voice of the organization. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical proposals, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), specifications, and scopes of work. The manager will also participate in client presentations, answering technical questions, and articulating the value proposition of Bharat Ecofuel Fuel’s solutions. This close collaboration with the sales team ensures that commercial commitments are grounded in realistic technical assumptions.
Once a project moves forward, the manager leads the engineering coordination effort. This involves developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;),
selecting appropriate equipment, and ensuring that all design documents align with client requirements and regulatory standards. The manager must be comfortable reviewing and interpreting complex technical drawings, as well as guiding junior engineers in the preparation of detailed design packages.
During the EPC execution stage, the manager oversees the integration of design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities. This includes managing relationships with vendors, contractors, and consultants, monitoring progress against the project schedule, and ensuring that all technical specifications are met. The manager is responsible for identifying any deviations early, proposing corrective actions, and maintaining clear communication channels among all stakeholders.
Commissioning and performance testing form a critical part of the role. The manager leads the start‑up of CBG plants, conducts performance validation tests, and troubleshoots any issues that arise. Key performance indicators such as methane purity, CBG output, gas quality, and overall process efficiency are closely monitored. The manager must document results, provide technical validation reports,
and certify that the plant meets contractual performance criteria before handover.
Risk management is embedded throughout the project lifecycle. The manager continuously evaluates technical risks, from feedstock variability to equipment reliability, and develops practical mitigation strategies. Compliance with environmental, safety, and statutory regulations is non‑negotiable, and the manager ensures that all activities adhere to applicable standards.
Travel is an integral component of the position. The manager will spend a significant amount of time on client sites and project locations across India, conducting surveys, inspections, and commissioning activities. This field presence enables real‑time problem solving and strengthens relationships with clients and partners.
In addition to technical expertise, the role demands strong interpersonal skills. The manager must communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non‑technical stakeholders, negotiate with vendors, and coordinate seamlessly with internal teams such as sales, engineering, and project execution. A proactive, solution‑oriented mindset and the ability to work under pressure are essential for success.
Overall, the CBG Project Technical Manager will be a key driver of Bharat Ecofuel Fuel’s growth in the renewable energy sector, ensuring that each project delivers reliable, high‑quality CBG while meeting financial and timeline expectations. The position offers a competitive salary, exposure to cutting‑edge renewable technologies, and the chance to shape the future of clean energy in India.
