The Assistant Manager – Production (3P) will be a pivotal member of the manufacturing leadership team, responsible for steering the performance of third‑party production partners that supply critical product lines across India. Reporting directly to the Senior Production Manager or Plant Head, the role is anchored in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, but requires frequent travel to partner sites in major industrial hubs. The primary objective is to ensure that all outsourced production activities meet the company’s stringent timelines, cost targets, quality benchmarks, and food‑safety regulations.

In this capacity, you will develop detailed production plans that align with demand forecasts, raw‑material availability, and capacity constraints of each partner. You will continuously monitor real‑time output, compare actual performance against the plan, and intervene promptly when deviations arise. Proactive risk management is essential; you will identify bottlenecks, anticipate supply‑chain disruptions, and coordinate corrective actions with both internal teams and external vendors.

Partner management forms the heart of the role. As the single point of contact for each 3P facility, you will cultivate solid, collaborative relationships with partner plant managers, production supervisors, and quality personnel. Regular on‑site visits will be scheduled to audit compliance with standard operating procedures, assess workforce competency, and verify that equipment and processes meet the company’s operational standards. During these visits,



you will review key performance indicators such as yield, scrap rate, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), and on‑time delivery, providing constructive feedback and driving continuous improvement.

Quality and food safety are non‑negotiable. Working closely with the internal QA/QC department, you will ensure that all products manufactured by third‑party partners conform to approved specifications, labeling requirements, and regulatory standards. When quality deviations occur, you will lead root‑cause investigations, coordinate corrective and preventive actions, and verify closure of all findings before production resumes. This collaborative approach helps safeguard brand integrity and consumer trust.

The role also demands strong analytical abilities. You will generate weekly and monthly reports that highlight production variances, cost implications, and improvement opportunities. These insights will be presented to senior management to inform strategic decisions, such as capacity expansion, vendor rationalization, or process redesign.
