What you'll do
• Review designs and drawings for manufacturability (DFM/DFMA) and suggest changes on cost, tolerances and process
• Recommend materials (plastics, aluminium and other metals) for strength, heat, UV and outdoor durability
• Identify, assess and onboard vendors for castings, injection moulding and related processes
• Lead tool and mould development, trials and first-article inspection
• Run supplier quality processes: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, process audits
• Fix production issues with vendors and drive cost reduction
• Set up inspection standards and quality checks for incoming parts
What you bring
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering
• [8–15] years in supplier development, NPD or manufacturing engineering
• Hands-on experience with die/sand casting and plastic injection moulding
• Strong drawing reading and GD&T; skills
• Working knowledge of materials and manufacturing best practices
• Clear communicator who can work with both engineers and shop-floor teams
• Willing to travel to vendor sites
Good to have
• Experience in automotive components, HVAC, fans or consumer appliances
• Sheet metal or extrusion experience
• Experience in a startup or new product launch
