*1. Role Summary*

The Desktop Support Executive is the first point of contact for technical issues across the organization. The role keeps employees' and trainers' systems, software, and collaboration platforms running smoothly, with particular ownership of Microsoft Teams, so teaching and operations are not disrupted.

*2. Key Responsibilities*

*Technical Support*

Provide L1/L2 support for hardware, software, and network issues, in person and remotely.
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, projectors, headsets, webcams, and other peripherals.
Resolve issues with operating systems (Windows; macOS where applicable) and Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace.
Support trainers and staff with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams) and LMS access.

*Software Management*

Install, configure, update, and uninstall approved software on all organizational systems.




Maintain the software inventory and track license allocation, renewals, and expiry dates.
Ensure only licensed, approved software is in use; flag unauthorized or pirated software.
Coordinate with vendors for software procurement, license renewals, and technical support.
Maintain standard software images/checklists for trainer, staff, and classroom systems.
Troubleshoot software compatibility, performance, and installation issues.

*Microsoft Teams Creation & Management*

Create and structure Teams, channels, and private/shared channels for departments, projects, courses, and batches.
Add, remove, and update members, owners, and guests as per HR and management requests.
Set up Teams for current batches and trainer groups before the start date, and archive or close them after completion.
Manage Teams policies and settings: permissions, meeting policies, messaging, file sharing, and external access.
