Key Responsibilities
• Instruction & Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver engaging lesson plans covering core Java concepts (variables, control flow, methods, arrays) using BlueJ as the primary IDE.
• OOP Visualization: Teach Object-Oriented Programming principles—including Abstraction, Encapsulation, Inheritance, and Polymorphism—utilizing BlueJ's object bench and diagram visualizer.
• Hands-on Coding & Projects: Guide learners through practical code walkthroughs, hands-on labs, debugging sessions, and beginner software projects.
• Assessment & Mentorship: Evaluate coding assignments, provide constructive code reviews, and offer targeted guidance to students encountering difficulties with foundational programming logic.
• IDE Bridge Transition: Prepare students to transition from BlueJ to industry-standard Java IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, or VS Code)
as they advance.
Required Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Education, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Java Expertise: Solid understanding of Core Java (JDK 8+) and fundamental data structures.
• BlueJ Proficiency: Hands-on experience navigating the BlueJ environment, including object creation on the bench, interactive method invocation, unit testing with JUnit inside BlueJ, and class diagram construction.
• OOP Mastery: Strong ability to explain Object-Oriented Design concepts in straightforward, intuitive terms.
