Job Title: VMC Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate VMC (Vertical Machining Center) machines as per production requirements.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining symbols.
• Set and operate VMC machines with appropriate cutting tools and fixtures.
• Perform tool setting, workpiece setting, and basic machine offsets.
• Understand and modify basic CNC programs/G-codes when required.
• Carry out in-process inspection using Vernier caliper, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge, etc.
• Maintain required dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Monitor machining operations and identify tool wear, machine abnormalities, and quality issues.
• Follow production schedules, safety procedures, and quality standards.




• Maintain machine cleanliness and basic daily maintenance.
• Record production, inspection, and rejection details.

Required Skills

• 1–2 years of experience as a VMC/CNC Operator.
• Positive knowledge of VMC machine operation and tooling.
• Basic knowledge of Fanuc/Siemens/Mitsubishi CNC controls is preferred.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, speeds & feeds, and tool offsets.
• Basic knowledge of measuring instruments.
• Willingness to work in shifts and meet production targets.

Qualification

ITI / Diploma – Mechanical, Production, or related technical qualification preferred.
