A Relationship Manager (RM) is responsible for acquiring current customers, maintaining relationships with existing customers, promoting banking products, and achieving business targets while ensuring excellent customer service. The role is a mix of sales, customer relationship management, and portfolio management, with many positions involving significant field work depending on the business segment.
Key Responsibilities
• Acquire new customers (NTB – New to Bank).
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Understand customer financial needs and recommend suitable banking products.
• Sell and cross-sell products such as:
• CASA (Savings & Current Accounts)
• Fixed Deposits (FDs)
• Loans (Personal, Home, Business, Gold, etc.)
• Credit Cards
• Insurance
• Investment products
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Conduct customer meetings and regular follow-ups.
• Resolve customer queries and provide prompt service.
• Coordinate with operations, credit, and other internal teams for smooth processing.
• Maintain customer records and update CRM.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML, and RBI guidelines during customer onboarding.
