Lead – Fire & Safety (Site Operations)

Reporting To: FM Manager / Cluster FM Head

Location: Mumbai (Multiple Sites)

SECTION II: ROLE SUMMARY

The Lead – Fire & Safety is responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, fire safety, occupational health & safety, and emergency preparedness across assigned sites. The role drives implementation of safety SOPs, audits, risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, contractor safety management, and sustainability initiatives to create a safe and compliant workplace for residents, employees, visitors, and contractors.

SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Fire & Safety Management

• Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, statutory requirements, and company safety standards.
• Maintain readiness of firefighting systems, equipment, hydrants, pumps, alarms, and emergency infrastructure.
• Conduct periodic inspections and preventive audits of fire & safety systems.

Compliance, Audit & Risk Management





• Conduct fire and safety audits and track closure of observations.
• Implement SOPs, safety guidelines, and compliance frameworks across sites.
• Carry out risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for identified hazards.
• Monitor compliance with statutory licenses, certifications, and approvals.

Emergency Preparedness & Response

• Develop and implement emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
• Conduct mock drills, emergency simulations, and awareness programs.
• Lead incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

Workmen & Contractor Safety

• Implement and monitor Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activities.
• Ensure contractor and workmen compliance with safety regulations and PPE requirements.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness sessions.

Security Integration

• Coordinate with site security teams on access co
