Mechanical Engineer
Reporting To: Operations Manager / Project Manager
Job Overview
We are looking for Mechanical Inspection Engineers with experience in Third Party Inspection, QA/QC, manufacturing, or EPC projects, preferably from Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Fertilizer, LNG, or Process Industries.
Requirements
• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5-15 years of relevant experience.
• Robust knowledge of mechanical inspection, welding, NDT, heat treatment, material inspection, and quality documentation.
• Ability to interpret drawings, datasheets, ITPs, and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, ANSI, ISO, EN, TEMA, NACE, and MSS-SP.
• Experience with vendor/shop inspections and inspection reporting.
• Preferred: ASNT Level II, API 510/570/653, BGAS/CSWIP, NACE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct stage-wise and final inspections during manufacturing, assembly, testing, preservation, and packing.
• Review ITPs, Quality Plans, procedures, drawings,
and technical specifications.
• Witness NDT, dimensional checks, pressure testing, functional/performance testing, and FAT.
• Review MTCs, WPS/PQR/WPQ, NDT, heat treatment, dimensional and test reports.
• Ensure material traceability and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Conduct vendor/shop inspections, monitor quality, and raise/follow up NCRs.
• Coordinate with clients, EPC contractors, vendors, and project teams.
• Prepare inspection, surveillance, FAT, NCR, vendor audit, and final release reports.
Equipment Coverage
Static: Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, Columns, Reactors, Tanks, Air Coolers, Boilers, Fired Heaters, Skids.
Rotary: Pumps, Compressors, Turbines, Gearboxes, Blowers, Fans, Agitators.
Piping/Bulk: Pipes, Tubes, Fittings, Flanges, Plates, Forgings, Castings, Rods, Fasteners.
