About the Role
Food & Pharma Specialities is looking for a Process Engineer – Vessels & Skid Systems with experience in process engineering and pharmaceutical/food processing equipment. The role involves understanding customer requirements, developing technical specifications, coordinating with vendors and supporting fabrication, FAT and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Understand customer URS and convert requirements into technical specifications for vessels and skid systems.
• Review P&IDs;, GA drawings and equipment datasheets to ensure process and hygienic requirements are met.
• Prepare technical specifications and RFQs for vessels, pumps, valves and instruments.
• Evaluate vendor technical offers and coordinate with equipment manufacturers and automation vendors.
• Coordinate and follow up on fabrication, technical approvals, documentation and project schedules.
• Inspect fabrication activities including welding, finishing and hydro testing.
• Participate in FAT, installation, commissioning and site activities.
• Prepare and support IQ/OQ documentation,
equipment documentation and dispatch activities.
Requirements
• B.Tech / B.E. in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in process engineering for pharma/food vessels, skids or process plants.
• Knowledge of SS316L/SS304 vessels, jackets, nozzles, CIP/SIP and hygienic design.
• Understanding of hygienic piping, pumps, valves, instruments and utilities.
• Ability to read and review P&IDs; and GA drawings.
• Valuable working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong communication, coordination and vendor follow-up skills.
• Willingness to travel for fabricator visits, FAT and site work.
Preferred / Good to Have
• Experience with a vessel/reactor fabricator or process equipment OEM.
• Exposure to high-shear mixers or CIP skids.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or food processing equipment.
