Description:
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor & Planning Engineer to work closely with our Purchase Manager and project/site teams. The role will primarily focus on quantity surveying, BOQ preparation, quantity reconciliation, procurement planning and project scheduling. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with drawings and Excel, and able to connect project requirements, quantities, procurement and construction timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Quantity Surveying & BOQ
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Prepare and review BOQs for construction and finishing packages.
• Calculate quantities for concrete, reinforcement steel, masonry, plaster, flooring, waterproofing, façade, doors/windows, sanitaryware and other construction materials.
• Check quantities submitted by contractors and vendors against drawings and site requirements.
• Maintain quantity reconciliation for major materials.
• Track quantities ordered, received, consumed and balance quantities.
• Identify quantity variations,
excess consumption and potential wastage.
• Assist in checking contractor measurements and RA bills.
• Prepare basic rate analysis and support commercial evaluations.
Planning & Scheduling
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project schedules.
• Track planned vs. actual progress.
• Prepare weekly look-ahead schedules and activity trackers.
• Track key construction activities and milestones.
• Coordinate material requirements with the project programme.
• Identify activities where procurement, drawings or materials may affect progress.
• Follow up with site teams and contractors on planned activities and completion dates.
Requirements
• B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• 3–7 years relevant experience in construction, real estate development, contracting or PMC.
• Solid experience in quantity take-offs, BOQs and construction quantities.
• Excellent MS E
