Job Title: DevSecOps Engineer

About the Role
We are looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to own the cloud estate, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipeline, observability, security perimeter and business continuity of our platform.
You will work closely with the Head of Engineering and take ownership of moving infrastructure and release management from our external engineering partner to an internal function.
This is a hands-on ownership role, not a routine infrastructure/operations position.

Key Responsibilities
• Own the AWS cloud estate including ECS Fargate, VPC, Aurora/RDS, MSK and KMS.
• Design and maintain infrastructure using Terraform across development, pre-production and production environments.
• Own GitLab CI/CD, including OIDC federation and security gates.
• Implement SAST, DAST, dependency and secret scanning within CI/CD pipelines.
• Build observability using CloudWatch, X-Ray and centralized logging.
• Manage the security perimeter including WAF, Shield,



Secrets Manager, Private CA, mTLS, GuardDuty and AWS Config.
• Own backups, restore testing and disaster recovery.
• Ensure infrastructure and data remain within AWS ap-south-1 and that residency can be evidenced.
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs.
• Participate in on-call and incident response and document postmortems.
• Work on infrastructure security and compliance requirements related to the platform.

Mandatory Skills & Experience
• 6+ years of experience managing production cloud infrastructure, OR 4+ years with an advanced degree/equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on Terraform managing real production environments.
• 4+ years of AWS experience across compute, networking and data.
• Robust hands-on experience with ECS/ECS Fargate, VPC, RDS/Aurora and IAM.
• 3+ years of CI/CD ownership, including security gates.
• Experience with SAST, DAST, dependency scanning and
