Kshetry & Co. is looking for an experienced and highly organised Legal Secretary to join our Kolkata office.

We are looking for a qualified with proven experience working with a law firm, legal consultancy, or advocates, who understands the professional standards, confidentiality requirements, and administrative processes involved in legal practice.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to advocates and legal professionals.
• Coordinate meetings, appointments, calls, correspondence, and day-to-day office activities.
• Prepare, organise, maintain, and manage legal documents, files, records, and correspondence.
• Assist with document preparation, formatting, filing, scanning, and tracking.
• Coordinate with clients, advocates, government authorities, PROs, and other relevant stakeholders where required.
• Maintain proper records of cases, documents, deadlines, appointments, and follow-ups.




• Assist advocates and the legal team with day-to-day coordination and administrative requirements.
• Handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of discretion.
• Support the office with general coordination and secretarial responsibilities as required.

Requirements
• Minimum 4 years of continuous professional experience.
• Previous experience working with a law firm, legal consultancy, advocate, or legal department is mandatory/preferred.
• Good working knowledge and awareness of local laws, regulations, legal procedures, and professional norms relevant to legal practice.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and document management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational, coordination, follow-up, and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law / Legal Studies is mandatory.
