Overview
The Windows + Devices Fundamentals team improves the reliability, performance, responsiveness, battery life, memory efficiency, and overall health of Windows devices. We build and operate the services, telemetry systems, and data pipelines that transform signals from labs and the installed base into trustworthy metrics, actionable diagnostics, and measurable engineering improvements.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for critical Windows Fundamentals data and service capabilities. You will guide technical strategy, develop engineering talent, and drive the delivery and operation of scalable backend services, telemetry systems, data pipelines, metrics, and diagnostic workflows used to understand and improve Windows health at scale.
This role is ideal for an engineering leader who combines solid service and data-platform expertise with a passion for developing people, operating reliable systems, solving ambiguous technical problems, and delivering measurable outcomes for Windows.

Responsibilities
• Own the team's strategy and roadmap for Windows Fundamentals backend services, telemetry systems, data pipelines, metrics, cohort frameworks, and diagnostic capabilities.
• Lead the architecture, delivery, and operation of scalable systems for telemetry ingestion, transformation, orchestration, storage, health monitoring, analytics, diagnostics, and engineering workflows.
