BuildHive Architects is looking for an Architect / Computational Designer to join our growing practice.
We work at the intersection of Architecture × Computation × Execution, with a focus on taking projects from design conception through documentation, coordination and execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop architectural concepts and design proposals across residential, commercial, hospitality and other project typologies.
• Develop and implement computational and parametric design workflows using Rhino + Grasshopper.
• Prepare architectural drawings, working drawings, detailed drawings and construction documentation.
• Develop design details, material specifications and architectural detailing.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and other consultants to resolve design and technical requirements.
• Assist in design development from concept through detailed design and execution stages.
• Coordinate with vendors,
contractors and project teams during execution.
• Review drawings and site conditions to ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
• Manage project deliverables, drawing packages, deadlines and day-to-day coordination.
• Explore and implement digital tools, computational workflows and emerging technologies to improve design and project delivery.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
• B.Arch / M.Arch with 3–5 years of relevant skilled experience.
• Strong architectural design, documentation and detailing skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Grasshopper.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials and architectural detailing.
• Ability to independently coordinate with consultants, vendors and project teams.
• Strong interest in computational design, parametric workflows and digital design tools.
• Experience with Revit / BIM, Python, scripting or other computational workflows will b
