As part of Walmart Global Tech, our team builds next-generation products and platforms to solve complex enterprise problems at Walmart scale. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer who can provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on in designing and building scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions.

What You'll Do:

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable enterprise applications and platforms.
• Provide technical direction for complex initiatives spanning multiple applications and engineering teams.
• Partner with Product, Business, and Engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive architecture/design and code reviews, evaluating trade-offs across scalability, performance, security, and reliability.




• Design and build backend services using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed system patterns, with React/Node.js for end-to-end solutions where needed.
• Build reusable frameworks, APIs, and platform capabilities that can be leveraged across teams.
• Drive engineering best practices around code quality, testing, security, observability, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex technical and production issues and drive long-term solutions.
• Mentor engineers and raise the engineering bar through design reviews, code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale enterprise applications and distributed systems.
• Robust hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices,
