About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Safety & Environment Officer to ensure the effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental standards at our 220kV S/C Semtokha–Jamjee Transmission Line Project in Thimphu, Bhutan.

The candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working workplace, monitoring compliance with applicable safety requirements, and ensuring that safe work practices are followed, particularly during transmission line stringing and associated construction activities.

Key Responsibilities

* Implement and monitor the project's Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
* Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards, project requirements, and site safety procedures.
* Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and conditions.
* Monitor safety practices during stringing,



erection, tower-related, lifting, working-at-height, and other transmission line activities
* Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessions for workers and site personnel.
* Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the project site.
* Prepare and maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, checklists, and incident records.
* Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
* Support risk assessments and implementation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and safe work procedures.
* Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences and prepare reports.
* Monitor emergency preparedness and ensure emergency response procedures are communicated to site personnel.
* Coordinate with the Project Head, site team, contractors, and workers regarding HSE matters.
