We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on QA Automation Technical Lead to establish, implement, and drive a comprehensive quality assurance strategy across the CBS platform estate - ServiceNow (ITSM), Salesforce and NetSuite (CRM/ERP), Boomi (integrations), OpenAir, and Anaplan - alongside the enterprise-level integrations connecting them. This role requires a strong focus on test automation, integration testing, and data validation, alongside leadership to define best practices and ensure system reliability across the estate. The ideal candidate will also bring an understanding of cloud-native testing principles and security testing requirements at a high level.

You will work as a solo hands-on contributor within CBS, leading by example, building automation frameworks, and driving testing across all six platforms and the workflows that connect them.

Responsibilities

Test Automation Framework Development

Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for:

- UI Testing: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright - covering ServiceNow, Salesforce, and NetSuite front ends
- API Testing: Postman, REST Assured - covering Boomi integration endpoints and platform APIs
- Data Validation: Python scripting with SQL integration - covering cross-platform data flows between Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow, OpenAir, and Anaplan

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps to ensure seamless testing during deployments across the CBS estate.

Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented test scripts for consistent results across all platforms.

Metrics

- Achieve 70-80% test automation coverage for critical CBS workflows within 12 months.

Functional, Integration, and Regression Testing

Conduct functional testing to validate workflows, integrations, and system updates across CBS platforms.

Perform end-to-end integration testing across ServiceNow (ITSM), Salesforce and NetSuite (CRM/ERP), Boomi (integration layer), OpenAir, and Anaplan.





Automate data validation testing to ensure consistency and accuracy across systems, using SQL and Python scripts - with particular attention to Boomi-mediated data flows as integration scripting is rewritten for ongoing platform compliance.

Performance and Load Testing

Use tools like JMeter or Locust to conduct performance testing to measure response times and system scalability across CBS platforms.

Establish performance benchmarks for critical workflows and collaborate with the Data and Integrations lead and platform owners to address bottlenecks.

Metrics

- Ensure systems meet defined performance SLAs under expected and peak load conditions.

Cloud-Native Testing and Monitoring (High Level)

Understand cloud-native testing principles for monitoring system availability, scalability, and resource utilisation across the CBS estate (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).

Provide insights into system performance statistics to align with CBSs Service Operating Model.

CI/CD and Continuous Improvement

Enhance CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated test execution, reporting, and validation processes across CBS platforms.

Identify and introduce 1-2 new tools or methodologies annually to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaborate with CBS platform owners, the service delivery manager, and the data and integrations lead to align QA processes with project timelines and delivery goals.

Metrics

- Ensure 98% deployment success rates for automated CI/CD test integrations.

Security Testing Understanding (High Level)

Maintain a high-level understanding of where security testing is typically required across the CBS estate (e.g.,



API authentication, data encryption, access controls).

Collaborate with security teams to ensure QA processes align with basic security requirements and compliance standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10).

Guide platform owners and stakeholders on QA best practices.

Define and document testing strategies, frameworks, and processes to ensure consistency across the CBS platform estate.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- 7-10 years of experience in QA automation with a strong focus on test automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with tools and technologies:
- UI Testing: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- API Testing: Postman, REST Assured
- Performance Testing: JMeter or Locust

- Strong scripting skills in Python and SQL for data validation and automation.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with cloud-native testing principles for system monitoring and statistics.
- High-level understanding of security testing requirements and standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
- Proven ability to define, implement, and optimise QA strategies from the ground up.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong collaboration abilities across a multi-platform, multi-stakeholder workplace.
- Prior exposure to at least two of: ServiceNow, Salesforce, NetSuite, Boomi, OpenAir, Anaplan.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Certifications: ISTQB (Foundation Level or higher) or equivalent QA certifications.
- Experience with cloud environments: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with test reporting tools like Allure or advanced CI/CD dashboards.
- Prior experience testing Boomi integration flows specifically.
