Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Power Electronics Engineer for freelance, project-based assignments. The selected candidate will be responsible for independently handling complete Power Electronics projects from concept and design through hardware, firmware, PCB development, component selection, BOM preparation, testing, QC validation, and final project approval.

The projects will primarily be related to UPS Systems, EV Chargers, Lithium-Ion Energy Storage Systems (ESS), and other power electronics applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and finalize Power Electronics systems as per project requirements and specifications.
- Independently handle complete projects from concept/design to final QC-tested and approved product.
- Design and develop hardware and firmware for UPS Systems, EV Chargers, Lithium ESS, and related power electronics applications.
- Design and develop PCB/PCBs, including schematic, component selection, PCB layout requirements, and design validation.
- Select appropriate power electronics components, controllers, semiconductors, capacitors, transformers, inductors, connectors, protection devices, etc.
- Design/specify transformers and other magnetic components as required for the project.
- Prepare a complete and accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) with component specifications.
- Develop and integrate firmware/control logic required for the respective power electronics system.
- Carry out design calculations, simulations, technical validation, and necessary design modifications.
- Conduct hardware testing, troubleshooting, debugging, performance validation, and QC testing.




- Ensure the complete project meets the required technical specifications, performance parameters, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Make design modifications based on testing results and technical feedback.
- Provide complete engineering documentation, drawings, schematics, PCB files, BOM, firmware, test reports, and other required project deliverables.
- Complete the project within the mutually agreed timeline and project milestones.
- Submit the fully functional and QC-tested project for final approval.

The freelancer may be assigned projects in areas such as:

- UPS Systems
- Online / Offline UPS
- EV Chargers
- Lithium-Ion Battery Systems
- Lithium-Ion ESS / Energy Storage Systems
- Battery Chargers and Power Conversion Systems
- DC-DC / AC-DC / DC-AC Power Electronics
- Other related Power Electronics and Energy Storage applications

Required Experience & Skills

- Relevant experience in Power Electronics Design and Product Development.
- Strong hands-on experience in UPS Systems, EV Chargers, Lithium ESS, or related power electronics products.
- Experience in complete hardware and firmware development.
- Strong knowledge of PCB design, schematic development, component selection, and BOM preparation.
- Experience with transformer/magnetic component design or specification.
- Positive understanding of power semiconductor devices, control circuits, protection circuits, sensing, feedback systems, and power conversion topologies.




- Ability to independently troubleshoot and validate hardware and firmware.
- Experience in testing, debugging, QC validation, and final product development.
- Ability to independently handle a complete project from concept design prototype testing QC final approval.
- Good understanding of electrical safety, reliability, thermal management, and design standards will be an added advantage.

Project-Based Remuneration

- 50,000 – 5,00,000 per project, depending on the size, complexity, technical requirements, scope, deliverables, and project timeline.
- The agreed remuneration will cover the complete scope of work mutually finalized for the respective project.
- The project may include complete hardware + firmware + PCB + transformer/magnetic design + component selection + BOM + testing + QC validation, as applicable to the project scope.
- Payment will be divided into 5 parts/stages based on project progress, deliverables, testing, and approvals.
- The final/last payment will be released after successful completion, final QC testing, and final project approval.
- Payment will be made as per the mutually agreed project milestones and deliverables.

Work Arrangement

- 100% Work From Home
- Freelancing / Project-Based engagement
- Projects will be assigned based on business requirements and candidate expertise.
- Candidates may work on individual projects as per the agreed scope, timeline, milestones, and deliverables.
- The freelancer should be capable of independently managing the assigned project and providing complete technical deliverables.
